The Department of Mathematics invites applications for full-time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Mathematics, to begin August 1, 2025. 

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is a public R1 university, located in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. It is the flagship campus of the University of Hawaiʻi system, with a vibrant research culture. Candidates should have a strong research background in an area of mathematics, and are encouraged to mention any connections with existing faculty members' research interests in their cover letter. Applications from all areas of mathematics are encouraged.

The department serves a very diverse student population from Hawai'i and beyond from introductory service courses through to the PhD level. Candidates should be enthusiastic about engaging with students with broad life experiences. 

A complete application will include: a cover letter; a curriculum vitae; a list of publications; a statement of research done and planned; a statement of teaching philosophy; at least three confidential letters of recommendation, at least one of which must address teaching. Upon hire, official transcripts will be required.
